ClockworkBanana is a Discord and Twitch reminder bot made by Mare's Bot Shop. This policy explains what information the bot processes and why.
To provide reminders, ClockworkBanana may store platform user IDs, Discord server and channel IDs, Twitch broadcaster/channel IDs and names, reminder text, reminder schedule and due time, reminder status and history, timezone preferences, and message IDs used to connect reminder actions with the correct reminder. The bot may also store lightweight usage events, such as use of help, timezone, or banana-fact commands, to provide personal statistics such as !stats.
This information is used only to operate ClockworkBanana: schedule and deliver reminders, remember timezone preferences, support repeat and delete commands, recover reminders after restarts, maintain authorized Twitch channel installations, and generate personal usage statistics.
ClockworkBanana reads messages in Discord servers and Twitch channels where it is installed so it can recognize its prefix commands. It does not store ordinary conversation messages. Reminder text is stored because it is necessary to deliver the reminder you requested.
Discord and Twitch use the same ClockworkBanana backend, but a reminder is delivered back to the platform where it was created. Discord reminders are delivered on Discord; Twitch reminders are delivered on Twitch.
ClockworkBanana does not sell personal information. Data is not shared with advertisers. Service providers used to operate the bot, including Discord, Twitch, and the bot's hosting/database provider, may process data as necessary to provide their services.
Active reminders are kept until they fire or are cancelled. Some reminder history and lightweight usage records may be retained so features such as repeats and personal statistics continue to work. You can cancel active reminders with !remove or !delete. Requests concerning stored data can be directed to Mare's Bot Shop through the Patreon link below.
Reasonable technical measures are used to protect stored information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
This policy may be updated as ClockworkBanana changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
